At the helm of that mission is Farina Hameed, MD, a neuroscience-trained physician whose career has been shaped by one consistent driving force: a deep and genuine desire to help children succeed. With over ten years of experience in child behavioral and academic support services, Farina has dedicated her professional life to understanding how children think, learn, and grow — and to making sure that understanding reaches the children and families who need it most.

Her path has taken her through school districts across the region, where she worked side by side with educators, specialists, and parents to create real, meaningful change for children facing academic and behavioral challenges. Those years on the ground gave her something that goes beyond clinical expertise — a firsthand understanding of the gaps that exist within the system, and a clear vision for how to fill them.

That vision became Hand In Hand.
